Gil R. Miranda used to be a Provincial Board Member of the Province of Laguna representing its Second District. In 2010, he was appointed International Relations and Trade Officer (IRTO). As an IRTO, his job demanded that he introduce the province to other countries, as well as local traders, producers and manufacturers.  The job urged him to rediscover Laguna, its history, culture, and traditions and what else it has to measure the province's capabilities to host major international and local companies in playing a key role in the province's economic growth.

In the process, he indulged in A Journey in time, which he now shares to willing time travellers fascinated with the province named after a lake, its beginnings and the struggle of its people to make it what it is today.
