ATTY. ANGELITO "TOTIE" LAZARO, JR.
Meet Atty. Angelito S. Lazaro, Jr. a Certified Public Accountant and practicing Litigation Lawyer. He is known to many friends as “Atty. Totie,” at times just plain “Totie.” Totie is the son of three-termer Laguna Governor Teresita S. Lazaro and known Laguna businessman and entrepreneur Angelito L. Lazaro, Sr.
He was born at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Quezon City on August 22, 1972. He is married to a fellow lawyer Atty. Ma. Carmen B. Lazaro and is blessed with three daughters and a son, Pia Isabelle , 14; Bianca Angeli , 12; Angela Marie, 10 and Angelito Rafael, 4.
. Totie grew up in Calamba City where he took his primary and secondary schooling. A constant teacher’s favorite, Totie took his primary schooling at the Mary Help of Christians School in 1985 and his secondary at the Colegio San Juan de Letran in 1989. He went to Manila for his college studies at the San Beda College of Arts and Scienes where he was a consistent Dean's Lister. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Accountancy degree at the same college in 1993. Soon, he passed the CPA Licensure Examination.
He pursued higher learning at the San Beda College, College of Law where he gained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 1999. He joined the bar during the same year.
Passionately involved in civic activites, he was president of the Calamba City Lawyers' League in 2007 to 2013. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Manila-Diamond, the Knights of Columbus, and Chairman of the NGO multi-sectoral group CALAMBEñO since 2013 to present, He was also a former Member of the Board of the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) in 2004 to 2010. And, that is besides being a member of the Integratd Bar of the Philippines and the Philippine Institute of Public Accountants.
Possessing a natural ardor for public service, Atty. Angelito S. Lazaro ran for vice mayor of the City of Calamba in 2013 but failed. He is coming back to politics this year seeking for a post as member of the city's Sangguniang Panglungsod, which he wish to get this time with his earned experience and gained supporters and followings.
Atty. Totie aims to improve Calamba City's programs in Public Health, Education, Environment, and livelihood, which naturally tends to grow as a city progresses carrying the problems in population boom, housing, environ-mental degradation and livelihood.
